Eric Dustman is a leading practitioner in Operations strategy for Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting business. Based in Chicago, he is a Principal with PwC US. He is aligned with the Operations and Engineered Products and Services (EPS) practices. He has more than 20 years of professional experience, ten of which is in consulting with Strategy&. His operations experience has focused on issues related to manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain. Clients are primarily in EPS, including automotive, industrial, and technology firms.
Eric has led multiple operations initiatives, including competitive manufacturing assessments, integrations and divestitures, service delivery model development and optimization, strategic sourcing, supply chain optimization, working capital management, and purchase-to-pay optimization. For example, he has served one automotive OEM for several years and, in one case, developed a global service delivery model for manufacturing IT that reduced structural cost by 35 percent.
Recently he led efforts with another automotive client to identify over €75 million in procurement process improvements. He has also led several working capital initiatives, including leading the team that developed the Working Capital Profiler.
Prior to joining Strategy&, he was a senior manager in Motorola’s cellular infrastructure products team where he served customers and led global teams. During his twelve-year tenure, his responsibilities included product development engineering, product management, and engineering and operations general management roles. He also held leadership positions on several charitable boards of directors in this time frame.
Eric received an MM (MBA) with distinction from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University (Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, Deans' Distinguished Service Award, and the Jane Robertson Memorial Award for academic excellence). He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Electrical Engineering) from Michigan State University.
